The Installation ceremony for the 2009-2011 Executive Board

Our Club held the 2009-2011 installation ceremony at the Bankers Club on 13 May 2009 and was greatly honoured by the presence of our key-note speaker, the Hon Anna Wu, Member of the Executive Council. We were also thrilled by the presence of board members of sister clubs, representatives of our social partners and many other guests.

The 15th Zonta International District 17 Conference

The 15th Zonta International District 17 Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 17 to 20 September 2009. This was a fun-filled event and at the same time, a superb occasion on which Zontians in the same District get to know each other better. There are also workshops and recreational activities on various interesting themes for members to attend.

Zonta International 90th anniversary dinner

More than 90 Zontians of District 17 got together to celebrate Zonta International's 90th anniversary in Hong Kong on 5th Dec. It was a fun-filled, food-filled and prize-filled evening where everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. On the same occasion, three members of our Club were awarded with 10-year loyalty pin - Rosaline Cheung, Loilta Li and Canissa Yuen.

Induction of new member Yim Kar Lai 2009-2011

On 10 Nov 2010, Yim Kar Lai was inducted as a member by Kathy Ip (Past international Director). A veteran private banker, Kar Lai is RBC Wealth Management's First Vice President. Welcome, Kar Lai, to the wonderful world of Zonta!

Induction of new member Julie Chow 2011-2012

Julie Chow was welcomed to the Zonta Club of Victoria on 16 June 2011 as the first new member in the term 2011-2012. Julie is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Quality Health Care Medical Services, one of top health care organisations in Hong Kong.

Installation Ceremony of the 2011-2012 Executive Board The Installation ceremony for the 2011-2012 Executive Board The new board was officially installed on 16 June 2011 by Winnie Teoh, Lieutenant District Governor 2010-2012. The ceremony was well attended by sister Zontians, our social service partners and representatives from other organisations such as Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR. We also had the honour of the presence of the Commissioner of Police, Mr Andy Tsang, as our Guest of Honour. Mr Tsang spoke to the audience about "Engaging the Community". His remarks help us better understand how the Police has been enhancing thier community relations work.

Induction opf New Member Helen Wong 2011-2012

The Zonta Club of Victoria extended its warmest welcome to new member Helen Wong, who was officially inducted by Winnie Teoh, District Governor (elect) on 12 October 2011. Helen is a university administrator, currently working at the Hong kong University of Science and Technology as Assistant Director of Student Affairs.

Induction of new members Peggy Ip

Peggy joined the Club on 11 January 2012. Peggy' comes from the architecture field, an area which is dominated by man. She is Managing Director of Ho & Partners, Architects, Engineers and Development Consultants Limited. Shirley's main interest is community services, which ties in well with the Zonta mission. Let's all welcome Peggy to our Club.

Induction of New Member 2011-2012 Shirley Chu

Shirley, District commander of Western District, is the second senior police office recruited to our Club. She's officially inducted on 8 February 2012. Her vast experience in the police force include child protection and domestic violence, areas that are of great interest to Zontians. Members of Zonta Club of Victoria welcome Shiley with open arms.
